CUT. - 10.2016 - MOZART blades partner information

Dear MOZART friends and business partners.

Although it’s still a little while until the end of the year, it is already apparent that 2016 will be the most successful year in the history of our company. The sustained growth and the many newly won customers testify to the high quality and the excellent price / performance ratio of our products.

At the moment, Mozart is setting the course to keep pace with growth at all levels. You can read about the extension of our company building and new trainees below. In addition, we are constantly working on improving our internal procedures and processes. Over the past few months, we have done a great deal - invisible to you, our partners and customers, but clearly to your benefit!

We wish you a colorful autumn!
Christian Klein, Sales Director - Peter Kamper, International Sales Manager

NEWS Vol 1.

MOZART annex finished.

Mission accomplished! The new addition to the MOZART production complex has been finished (almost) on time. The extra 1000 sqm are giving home to the colleagues working in the fitter’s department and mechanical engineering for maintaining our machines and building new components.

The free space now available in the main building will be remodeled and afterwards dedicated to production, blade packaging and storage. These departments are in urgent need for extra space because of the substantial growth we have generated over the last years.

You are more than welcome to visit us for a company tour to check out yourself what’s new at MOZART’s!

Update: Precision Cutting Knives with optimized Thumbscrew.

As already reported in issue 02/2015 of this newsletter, Mozart now offers its successful F series precision cutting knives also in versions with thumbscrew. In this case, the screw replaces the Allen screw of the standard knife and allows the blade to be replaced without using a tool.

Not quite a year after the introduction of the knife, we have now further optimized the thumbscrew: compared to the previous screw made from brass, the new plastic screw with injected metal thread is significantly smaller and fits closer to the shaft of the handle. This allows a better view of the blade and thus a more precise cutting process both with the lighter 2514.02 and the more robust 2515.04 / 2515.05 knives. Moreover, the knives lie in the user’s hand with a better grip. Last but not least, the plastic head also prevents a possible scratching of the workpiece.

The knives with the new thumbscrew are now available with 20 pieces per carton. For further information please contact the Mozart sales team.

NEWS Vol 2.

MOZART now AEO certified.

Good news for many of our customers: MOZART has been rewarded by the EU with the status of an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), being recognized as a safe and trustworthy company. Because of this AEO status our shipments to Switzerland, Norway, Japan, China and the United States of America will be processed much quicker than before, passing import procedures without any detailed checks or safety procedures.

NEWS Vol 3.

MOZART Compliance Program has been started.

We are proud to announce that MOZART has joined the BME Compliance Initiative and accepted the BME (German Association Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics) Code of Conduct as a binding set of rules. We feel that it’s important to officially document the rules we have lived by for many years in a way that is internationally accepted and meanwhile expected by several customers of ours.

By signing this agreement we are making a clear statement against any form of corruption, forced labor or child labor approach. At the same time we are obligating ourselves to promote corporate social responsibilities and a lived compliance along the supply chain.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to learn more about our Code of Conduct!

Upcoming fairs: “K” and “Compamed”.

It's going to be tough, but even so we're looking forward to it: "K", the world's leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, will open its gates in Düsseldorf from 19th October, and will last for eight (!) days (from 19th to 26th October) - certainly an intensive and interesting time for our team, and in a way also a "family reunion". We would be delighted to meet you at Mozart’s stand F59 in Hall 11!

Only a little more than two weeks later (14th to 17th November) Mozart will again be present in Düsseldorf with a stand at the "Compamed" fair for suppliers of the medical technology industry. For many years now, Mozart has been successfully supplying MedTech customers with innovative cutting solutions and is looking forward to presenting its expertise to interested parties at the fair. You will find us in Hall 8B at booth N12.

NEWS Vol 4.

New apprentices at Mozart.

Mozart has been training apprentices for many decades now, and has numerous former trainees among its staff. Whilst in the past the main focus in was the commercial sector, in recent years Mozart has been investing successfully in the training of technical and industrial employees as well. In addition to specialists for warehouse logistics, Mozart is now also teaching skills to machine and system operators. After the last term’s two apprentices have passed their final examinations with distinction and have been appointed permanently, Mozart is again "giving the finishing touches" to two machine operators in the current apprenticeship term. In addition, a specialist for warehouse logistics and an industrial clerk will again be running the two- respectively three-year training program.
